There was a crooked man
Who walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence
Against a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat
Which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together
In a crooked little house.
He met a crooked lady
who lived across the brook
He learned in reading she was hooked
so, for her, he bought a book
He took her heart away
the instant she had to look
And they all loved together
In his crooked little house.
